This Respiratory Care Practitioner Supervisor Thomas Campus position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ.
Posting Note: Phoenix Children’s is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Respiratory Services team at the Thomas Campus. This day shift leadership role combines frontline clinical support with departmental operations, including staffing coordination, scheduling, mentoring, education, and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric respiratory care experience, prior leadership experience, and a passion for developing others while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture. Responsibilities include supporting bedside care as needed, serving as a resource for staff, assisting with equipment and workflow management, and partnering with leadership to ensure safe, high-quality respiratory care across multiple pediatric specialty areas. Candidates must hold an active Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT credential through the NBRC, and BLS certification. PALS, NPS credential, AARC membership, and critical care experience are preferred. This position also participates in a rotating on-call schedule approximately one week per month and offers the opportunity to lead within one of the nation's premier pediatric respiratory programs while supporting specialized services including NICU, PICU, CVICU, ECMO, and pediatric acute care.
This position provides operational and clinical leadership to direct clinical staff to ensure consistent quality patient care in accordance with all applicable federal, regulatory, and professional standards and requirements. Acts as a liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family centered care environment.
