This Administrative Clerk/Customer Service Representative position is with Forest Service (Department of Agriculture) in Fredonia, AZ.
These positions are located on the Alaska Region, R10, Intermountain Region, R4, or Southwestern Region, R3. The incumbent is responsible for customer service such as greeting visitors, answering telephones, and responding to both internal and external inquiries. Key duties:
• Greet visitors and recognize who should enter the building.
• Use of basic accounting, basic record keeping and other necessary systems to maintain accurate sales and collections records.
• Use word processing software and printing equipment to create, edit, and retrieve a variety of standardized documents.
• Use database or spreadsheet software to enter, sort, and retrieve data for standard reports.
• Provide explanations of office functions, describing specific requirements, providing basic instructions, or a similar degree of detail.
Qualifications:

Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-05 grade level: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: Greeting visitors and responding to phone and written inquiries; maintaining written records; and using word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print standardized documents. OR A bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school in any field OR A combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and specialized experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
