This Administrative Medical Assistant – Developmental Pediatrics & Neuropsychology position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ. Posting Note: Administrative Medical Assistant – Developmental Pediatrics & Neuropsychology Location: 1919 E. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, AZ. 85016 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. We are seeking an Administrative Medical Assistant to support two specialty areas—Developmental Pediatrics and Neuropsychology—in a unique blended role. This position is primarily administrative, offering the opportunity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while supporting patient care through coordination, communication, and workflow management. Primary Responsibilities: Developmental Pediatrics Manage the clinical call line and respond to patient inquiries. Process and coordinate patient forms requests. Provide occasional patient rooming when additional clinical coverage is needed. Neuropsychology Review incoming referrals for completeness and appropriate processing. Distribute educational materials and resources to referring providers. Support referral coordination and communication with internal and external partners. Additional Responsibilities Perform other administrative Medical Assistant duties as assigned. Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to support efficient clinic operations. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service in all interactions. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or another school approved by the Department of Education; or Current Medical Assistant certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) in lieu of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association. Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) required within 90 days of hire to remain in the position. This role works under the direction of a licensed health care professional and performs various clinical and administrative tasks for the assigned area. The Medical Assistant is expected to carry out the mission, vision, and values of Phoenix Children's. A continuous exhibition of professionalism, strong ethical conduct, and integrity must be carried out at all times. Interdepartmental collaboration, high standards of work performance, keeping a positive attitude and adhering to the policies and procedures of Phoenix Children's is essential. This position requires current and continuous certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) in the field of Medical Assisting or the ability to acquire within 90 days of hire. Anyone hired prior to 11/30/2021 has one year from their date of hire to obtain their required Medical Assistant Certification.
