This Administrative Support Specialist position is with Defense Information Systems Agency (Department of Defense) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the Joint Interoperability Test Command(JT). Key duties: • Provides administrative and technical support for organizational and automated programs including travel, transportation, supply and equipment management, time and attendance, publications, forms, records, and reports control. • Serves as the office records, files, publications, and records manager for the Command by managing official files. • Receives and screens calls and greets visitors, ascertains the nature of the inquiry or visit and refers the matter to the appropriate action officer. • Assembles trips, itineraries, and information papers dealing with personnel, logistics, and mission. • Responds to suspense requests, from both external and internal sources, and provides background information, analyses, comments, and recommendations as required. Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. This person will service as the Management Assistant to the Commander, Joint Interoperability Test Command. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience with providing administrative and technical support for programs such as travel, time and attendance, records management, and office supply management; preparing reports by gathering and analyzing information; and coordinating meetings and correspondence for senior staff.
