A Business Sales Manager takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.
As a Business Sales Manager you’ll be the face of the hotel within your market - responsible for overseeing and coordinating all sales aspects of corporate travel segment of the Westin Tempe. This includes proactively soliciting and managing transient sales opportunities, customers relationships, and ensuring compliance with hotel, brand, and Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The role requires strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills to deliver exemplary customer service and seamless travel experiences for business travelers.
SPECIIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
• Basic hotel product knowledge, i.e., staffing, operations, operations, safety, security, union rules, structural, terminology, fire, police and health codes, hotel policies, city
• Basic knowledge of the hotel structure/layout and how all departments interact.
• Extensive knowledge of market and related meeting industry.
• Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition. Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account. Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints. Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.

Safety & Security:
The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent.
