This CASHIER position is with Air Education and Training Command (Department of the Air Force) in Luke AFB, AZ. About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Club Five Six. Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change, Processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account. This is a Flexible position with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Key duties: • Sells a variety of merchandise items such as snacks, prepared food on order and baked goods. Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change, Processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account. At the end of each tour of duty clears the cash register, and turns over the cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts daily and monthly inventories. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition. In a Food Activity: Performs check-out duties such as ringing up food, beverages, and merchandise by individual items; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change. Performs other relate food service duties such as assisting in setting up the serving line, replenishing beverage dispensers, ensuring kitchen staff is advised when buffet lines needs replenishment. In a Restaurant: Receives patrons' meal checks, rings up sales on cash register, receives money, and makes change. Prepare and breakdown items for breakfast, lunch and salad bar on a daily basis. Mops floors, wipes down front and back counters as needed. Maintains tables, napkin holders throughout the day. Empty trash containers, ensures it is removed and taken to garbage containers outside at the end of the day. May perform other duties as assigned pertaining to their job area.
