This Clinical Nurse - General Peds Clinic position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ. Posting Note: Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Pediatrics (Complex Care) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM Setting: Ambulatory Pediatric Clinic Role Summary Join a collaborative ambulatory pediatrics team caring for children and adolescents with primary care and complex medical needs, including chronic and technology-dependent conditions. This role focuses primarily on telephone triage and care coordination, with some in-clinic support. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Telephone triage and care coordination (approx. 90%) • Coordinate care with multiple specialists, hospitals, and community resources specimen taking not much direct care • Support clinic visits including: o Patient/family education o Care of medical devices (e.g., trachs, feeding tubes, G-tubes) o Specimen collection • Partner with providers and interdisciplinary teams to support medically complex patients ________________________________________ Qualifications • Active RN license • 2+ years pediatric nursing experience o Ambulatory preferred; inpatient acceptable • Experience with medically complex or special-needs pediatric patients • Comfortable managing life-sustaining devices ________________________________________ Ideal Candidate • Resourceful, organized, and solution-focused • Confident communicator who collaborates across teams • Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced outpatient environment This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum.
