This Clinical Nurse - Inpatient Rehab position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ.
Posting Note: Phoenix Children's is seeking a full-time Night Shift Rehabilitation RN (0.9 FTE) to join our growing Pediatric Rehabilitation team. This unique opportunity combines specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing with pediatric medical-surgical care, allowing nurses to build expertise in a highly collaborative and rewarding environment.
Our 12-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit cares for children recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, and other diagnoses requiring intensive rehabilitation. Approximately 60% of our patient population consists of children recovering from brain injuries, making experience with neurological or rehabilitation patients especially valuable. While pediatric and rehabilitation nursing experience are preferred, we welcome experienced adult RNs who have a passion for transitioning into pediatric care. Experience in a CARF-certified rehabilitation program is a plus, and our team provides specialized training, including pediatric and brain injury rehabilitation education.
You'll work alongside an exceptional interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physical, occupational and speech therapists, neuropsychology, social work, and Patient Care Technicians. In addition to rehabilitation patients, the unit also cares for select short-stay, non-complex pediatric medical-surgical patients, providing additional variety and opportunities to expand your clinical skills.
This 0.9 FTE night shift position includes every third weekend and offers the chance to join a department that has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years while making a meaningful impact on children and families during their recovery journey.
This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards.
