Job Description:
The Rob Walton College of Global Futures, the learning space within the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory, is hiring for a Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications in creating content for various platforms, including website, news outlets, paid campaigns and coordination with media relations.
This role will assist in developing and implementing the college's communication strategies, programs and project content, and materials for a variety of projects that effectively market and disseminate information. Will promote the college's activities to internal and external constituents including faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and the general public.

Essential Duties:
• Assists in implementing communications projects and programs for the unit to ensure consistency in message and support of goals and objectives.
• Advises decision makers on effective communications and public relations matters.
• Contributes towards communications efforts that support recruitment, enrollment and retention.
• Participates in strategic communications planning for college projects and initiatives.
• Serves as a writer, and editor for college public relations efforts including implementation on ASU News and websites.
• Supports communication initiatives, programs, and projects through analysis, planning, creation, and development of materials/content.
• Determines target markets to expand audience base; creates and produces communications materials as well as collateral from concept to completion.
• Serves as copywriter and editor; edits and determines layout of materials including; brochures, flyers, slides, presentations, web pages and web-based communications; oversees production of materials.
• Interfaces with and conducts regular interviews with faculty, alumni, key stakeholders, project leads/managers, and team members in order to develop stories for publication and market content.
• Supports the implementation of guidelines for the use of the college's web site, advertising, and staff print communications.
• Writes content for the web site; ensure timeliness of all information, and coordinate content updates with college and schools.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of web content and management concepts, principles and practices.
• Skill in effective communication.
• Ability to handle multiple complex issues through use of good negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with university brand guidelines and AP Style.
• Ability to work independently and accurately with strong attention to detail.
• Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working Environment:
• Work location: The College's home campus is the Tempe campus.
• Some events may require attendance outside of regular work hours.
• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
• Required to move moderate distances to perform work.
• Frequently moving up to 25 pounds for various needs.
• Regular use of standard office equipment, including, but not limited to computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone, and associated computer/technology peripherals.
