This Custodian I (Phoenix, AZ) position is with University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. General Cleaning and Sanitation Clean and sanitize assigned classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and public areas following established schedules and procedures. Waste Management and Restocking Supplies Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables; restock restroom and facility supplies such as soap, paper products, and sanitizers. Equipment Operation and Care Operate and maintain custodial equipment including vacuums, floor polishers, and steam cleaners while using cleaning chemicals safely and properly. Special Projects and Support Services Assist with deep cleaning projects (e.g., carpet shampooing, floor waxing, window washing), laundry tasks, and provide courteous assistance to building occupants and visitors. Special Event Support Involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and organization of event spaces. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, standards and safety procedures. Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure all areas of the facility are kept clean and in sanitary conditions. Organizational and time management skills. Strong customer service skills. Physical Requirement: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
