This Family Support Coordinator (EFMP/FMTS) position is with Military Treatment Facilities under DHA (Department of Defense) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. About the Position: This position is located within Raymond W Bliss Army Health Center, Fort Huachuca, AZ Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Key duties: • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Exceptional Family Member Program (FMTS) office and the Family Member Travel Screening (EFMP) overseeing all administrative procedural aspects of the program for the Health Facility. • Identify and develop program resource requirements and provide EFMP budget input to include manpower, supplies, technology, equipment, and travel essential for program operations. • Provide assistance to administrative staff, medical personnel, service members and their families. • Review all medical and educational forms for accuracy, ensures proper codes are used and adjudicates discrepancies. • Utilize the system of records to provide technical support to Service members and their families to eliminate duplicate or incorrect actions. Basic Requirements: Family Support Coordinator (EFMP/FMTS): Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes administering or coordinating program operations, reviewing enrollment or screening actions for accuracy and ensure regulatory-compliant. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: social work, psychology, counseling or sociology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
