Fleet Services Vehicle Service Attendant

This Fleet Services Vehicle Service Attendant position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Refuel, clean, inspect, and prepare rental vehicles for customer use. Responsibilities include fueling vehicles at on-site fuel pumps, operating vehicles through the automated car wash system, and performing interior cleaning in the vacuum/detail bay. Interior cleaning tasks include vacuuming, window cleaning, and any additional detailing necessary to ensure vehicles meet department cleanliness standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify and document any damage or maintenance concerns. Inspections include checking the exterior for body or glass damage, visually examining tires for excessive wear or damage, verifying proper operation of lights, turn signals, and climate control systems, and ensuring vehicles are free of items left behind by previous rental customers. Maintain vehicle readiness and safety standards to support a positive customer rental experience. Providing support across the Motor Pool and Garage services areas. This may include delivering vehicles to off-site repair facilities, driving to pick up parts for the Garage, performing maintenance and visual inspections of our remotely stationed Fleet rental vehicles located in the Sixth Street Parking Garage. Additionally, this position will be responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance of our car wash system and vacuum system. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational abilities and able to manage and establish work priorities as needed. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work in a busy and sometimes noisy work environment. Attention to detail and exceptional follow through. Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in person, on the phone, and via email with the general public, students and staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and take initiative. Physical Requirements This position may occasionally require the individual to lift items up to 30 lbs.
