This Management Analyst position is with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (Department of Health and Human Services) in Phoenix, AZ.
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Human Capital (OHC), Operations and Customer Relations Group (OCRG). As a Management Analyst, GS-0343-13, you will be performing a wide variety of duties related to business and administrative operations.
Key duties:
• Leads and advises leadership on organizational, administrative, and human resources management issues.
• Manages the office's personnel portfolio, including workforce planning, recruitment, staffing analysis, position management, and personnel actions.
• Conducts organizational studies and analyzes workforce, and operational data to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manages administrative and personnel management information systems, ensuring data integrity and process improvements.

In order to qualify for the GS-13 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Analyzing and recommending staffing approaches and workload distribution to leadership for workforce coverage; 2) Collaborating with supervisors, managers, and stakeholders to resolve workload demand and resource discrepancies, negotiate solutions to competing priorities; AND 3) Using multiple data systems and analytical tools to collect, interpret, and present information for workload forecasting and operational monitoring. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
