This Manager, Respiratory Services Arrowhead Campus position is with Phoenix Children's in Glendale, AZ.
Posting Note: Phoenix Children’s is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Manager to lead Respiratory Therapy operations at our Arrowhead Campus in Glendale. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced pediatric respiratory leader who can effectively manage day-to-day operations, develop high-performing teams, and support high-quality respiratory care across a growing pediatric campus.
In addition to leading Respiratory Therapy services at Arrowhead, this Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the Respiratory Therapy float team, ensuring appropriate staffing, clinical support, and deployment of resources based on patient care and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader with demonstrated experience supervising Respiratory Therapists, managing staffing and daily operations, and supporting high-acuity pediatric patient populations. Candidates should bring strong clinical knowledge, sound decision-making skills, and the ability to build relationships across teams and departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily Respiratory Care operations and staff at the Arrowhead Campus
• Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Respiratory Therapy float team
• Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, engagement, and retention
• Provide coaching, mentoring, performance management, and staff development
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and appropriate allocation of respiratory resources
• Maintain 24/7 accountability for department operations
• Drive quality, safety, evidence-based practice, and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary leaders to support patient care and operational goals
• Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader and clinical resource for the team
Required Experience
• Minimum of five years of Respiratory Therapy experience, including leadership and/or supervisory responsibilities
• Experience leading Respiratory Therapy teams and managing day-to-day department operations
• Strong pediatric and critical care Respiratory Therapy background
• Demonstrated experience with staffing, workforce management, and team development
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams and locations
