This Merchandising Specialist II - Vitamins position is with Sprouts Farmers Market in Phoenix, AZ. Overview The Vitamins Department Specialist supports the Senior Category Manager & Associate Category Manager in executing merchandising strategies, managing category operations, and ensuring the successful rollout of promotional initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining promotional data accuracy, overseeing vendor and new item setup, and managing communications across departments. The Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams (CFTs), including Merchandise Planning, Operations, and Schematics, to streamline processes, drive category performance, and support business objectives through collaboration, analysis, and execution. Overview of Responsibilities • Draft and distribute weekly store communication content related to category initiatives. • Provide day-to-day administrative and email support to the Category Manager. • Execute ad hoc reporting, data requests, and special projects as assigned. • Oversee the flow of new item submissions, including samples and setup through the product lifecycle process. • Manage vendor onboarding, product image coordination (ads, schematics, website), and item integration across platforms. • Maintain and monitor shared inboxes and digital collaboration spaces. • Manage and track all promotional deals, ensuring they are accurately entered, updated, and processed; perform weekly checks of master promo workbooks. • Support the preparation, processing, and backup management of contracts and promotional documentation. • Coordinate communication of new and discontinued item notices to vendors and distributors. • Prepare and submit purchase orders and assist in selecting display items in collaboration with the Category Manager. • Participate in the end-to-end category review timeline, including product tracking and CFT reset meetings. • Maintain accuracy and consistency of promotional materials; assist in data entry and proofing processes. • Serve as a liaison with the Marketing and Design team to align messaging and maintain data integrity. • Address and resolve help desk tickets and ServiceNow TPR requests tied to merchandising operations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail purchasing, marketing, or merchandising, with a focus on non-perishables preferred. • Supplements experience is a plus. • Exceptional communication skills with a strong ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize effectively. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools. • High degree of creativity and innovative thinking.
