This Pediatric Body Radiologist position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ. Posting Note: Pediatric Body Radiologist — Phoenix Children's Location: Phoenix, Arizona | Type: Full-Time | Department: Radiology Phoenix Children's is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Body Radiologist to join one of the largest and most complex freestanding pediatric health systems in the country — with a schedule built around flexibility, subspecialty support, career growth, and real work-life balance. Fluoroscopy call is shared across the Body imaging section (1:13), and our dedicated Emergency Radiology section handles overnight image interpretation and consultations. • A growing, well-resourced department. 29 radiologists across Body, Neuro, IR, and Emergency sections, backed by a full-time PhD Imaging Scientist and a dedicated research coordinator. • Ground floor of major expansion. A new pediatric hospital with 60 NICU beds, 6 operating rooms, and a 24-room Emergency Department opens in February 2027. Our Team Phoenix Children's Department of Radiology consists of 29 radiologists: Body (14), Neuro (8), IR (4), and Emergency (3). Overnight image interpretation and consultations are covered by the Emergency Radiology section. The Body imaging section shares the fluoroscopy call (currently 1:13). All radiologists have full home PACS workstations, and a hybrid schedule is standard practice, with body radiologists currently working 50% of assignments remotely. Subspecialty Practice The Pediatric Body imaging section is a collegial, diverse group with subspecialty expertise in Cardiac, Fetal, MSK, and Nuclear Medicine/PET imaging. Subspecialized training is preferred for this role; however, we also welcome and actively support recent fellowship graduates as they develop subspecialty expertise. Our dedicated IR and Neuroradiology sections handle interventional procedures and neuroimaging studies, keeping this role focused on core and subspecialty body imaging. Qualifications • M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent), board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship or ABR 15-month pathway. • ABR Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Pediatric Radiology, or eligible. • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona Research and Education Phoenix Children's Radiology faculty hold academic appointments with the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Phoenix), Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale), and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix). The department runs an active teaching and research program, including: • 3 ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellow positions • 2 additional non-accredited fellow positions (Neuro and IR) • Residents and medical students from affiliated academic programs • A full-time PhD Imaging Scientist and dedicated research coordinator Phoenix Valley: A Market on the Rise The Phoenix Metro Area is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, and Phoenix Children's is expanding to match.
