Postdoctoral Research Associate, Cellular and Molecular Medicine (Full-Time)

This Postdoctoral Research Associate, Cellular and Molecular Medicine (Full-Time) position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Lead research projects in close collaboration with the PI and other lab members. Innovate new areas of experimental inquiry. Advance technical aspects of experimental approaches and mechanistic understanding of biological problems. Mentor junior lab members and contribute to a productive scientific environment. Maintain detailed records and disseminate research findings in meetings and as manuscripts in scientific journals. Apply for independent funding and contribute to grant proposals submitted by the PI. There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work efficiently, effectively and semi-independently on research projects within an area of specialization. Thorough technical and theoretical knowledge of research project and the objectives. Demonstrated aptitude to perform experimental protocols and procedures, including detailed data collection and analysis. Ability to communicate (grant and manuscript writing, oral presentation) effectively. Ability to present research finding on a regular basis to peers within the center and at national and international meetings.
