Postdoctoral Research Associate, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology

This Postdoctoral Research Associate, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Work under supervision of the PI in conducting genomics and genetics research. Conduct whole genome sequencing experiments and bioinformatics analysis. Maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines with GitHub integration. Mentor students and support student research projects. Write and publish papers in high-impact journals. The position may optionally include field work in the Galápagos Islands. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable about research in ecology and evolution. Knowledgeable about host-parasite interactions, vertebrate genomics, and/or ornithology. Skilled at whole genome sequencing, bioinformatics analysis and scientific writing. Skilled at communication, time management, and working independently. The ability to stay organized, self-motivated, and accountable. The ability to work well with others.
