Project Coordinator - Construction

This Project Coordinator - Construction position is with Sprouts Farmers Market in Phoenix, AZ. Overview The Construction Coordinator reports directly to the Real Estate and Construction Projects Manager. The primary focus of this position is to assist in the management and coordination of the construction department and deal making process. Position requires a self-starter, detail driven, reliable, trustworthy and conscientious individual with significant understanding of construction practices, financial procedures, legal processes, and basic research concepts. Position reports into our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid schedule, in ofifce Tuesday - Thursday. Overview of Responsibilities • Support Construction Project Managers projects success [new stores & remodels] • Log bids on bid comparison form • LOI to GC after bid is awarded (within 10 business days) • Create refrigeration contracts and request purchase orders • Compile documents and prepare GC construction contract using AIA software; follow up on signatures • Log preliminary notice of services from contractors (pre-liens) • Log/review pay apps from GC’s • Request pay apps via WorkDay • Receive and pay refrigeration and other invoices through WorkDay • Compile pay applications and backup information to submit billing requests for tenant improvement allowances • Request and monitor close-out packages from all parties involved in projects • Final invoices from direct buy vendors and architects • Close out package from GC to architect • Close out package from LL to architect • Projects should be closed out within 60 days of grand opening • Supply GC subcontractor list to Facilities team post grand opening • Establish utility transfer between RDD and turnover date with Insight • Establish Emerson Temp Monitoring setup between RDD and turnover date • Update and monitor project costs on a monthly basis and report to team realty leadership • Assist with vendor setup if necessary • Update and distribute construction schedule on a monthly basis • Securing final addresses for all locations and communicating to the business prior to RDD • Ability to compile and report data intended for benchmarking, research and analytical thinking throughout the department • Coordinate the process of finding, developing, implementing and training all department and vendors on new Construction management collaborative website • Assist in the creation of training materials for internal and external construction teams • Primary contact and resource for information in regard to departmental issues • Anticipate and solve issues with departmental hardware and software equipment • Order and assist in all equipment and software needs • Works closely with internal departments including Legal, Real Estate, IT, Tax and Audit • Assist in creating and issuing policy manuals, monitor construction project management practices • Assist in creating and training all construction team members on new processes and systems as it relates to productivity and job performance Qualifications • High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in retail construction and construction administration • Preferred knowledge of bids and proposal processes • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business information Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
