Quality Consultant-Surgical

This Quality Consultant-Surgical position is with Phoenix Children's in Phoenix, AZ. This position identifies and improves surgical performance improvement and patient safety practices by affecting care and processes at the bedside. The focus of this position is the Children’s Surgery Program and to conduct surgical case reviews, serve as a liaison to surgical division protected case reviews, and ensure that postoperative complications and system’s issues are addressed appropriately from a quality-improvement standpoint. Additionally, the Consultant collaborates with physician/clinician champions to use the data to identify opportunities for quality improvement and patient safety practices with their respective clinical specialties. The Coordinator supports and focuses the quality improvement efforts.
