This RECREATION AID (ITT) position is with Air Combat Command (Department of the Air Force) in Davis Monthan AFB, AZ. About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Davis Monthan Community Center. This position is a Flexible position 0 to 40 hours per week without Benefits. Key duties: • Assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operations of ticket sales. Greets customers as they enter the office and provides them with information about tickets and/or programs offered within the Force Support Squadron. Operates cash register/POS system, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change and processes credit cards sale. At the end of each tour of duty clears the cash register, and turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Prepares daily cashier reports. Assists in performing inventories on a daily and monthly basis. Assists in maintaining stock of informational flyers attraction brochures, discount coupons, hotel directories and event schedules. Keeps supervisor informed of any problems or conflicts. Able to work alone in manager's absence. Takes reservations and payments for trips and tours. notifies participants of schedule changes. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems. and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have experience in the receipt disbursement examination deposit or other processing cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items. and use of cash accountability control methods. Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Successful completion of a Tier I background investigation is required.
