This Research Technician II, Department of Translational Neurosciences (College of Medicine-Phoenix) position is with University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. Works under the supervision of the PI and perform day-to-day experiments of tissue culture, DNA, RNA, protein isolation/analyses, cloning DNA constructs, and mouse experiments. Record results in the laboratory notebooks or data folders. Communicate all results to the PI in a timely manner and plans for the follow-up experiments and troubleshooting. Participates in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and data figures. Assist with the set up of standard laboratory operations. Organize and manage laboratory resources including research reagents and laboratory equipment. Facilitate the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment. Assist with orientation and training of new lab personnel. Provides routine and technical administrative support to lab operations. Write and update standard lab operating procedures and protocols. Oversee RLSS compliance for all lab members. Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing. Ability to set up and perform a variety of lab or field tests and operations. Skilled at recording results, making observations, analyzing data, and interpreting test results. Knowledge and experience in research (internship, independent study).
