Research Technician

This Research Technician position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Receive, inspect, process, document, and properly store biological specimens collected for the research study, ensuring accurate processing, labeling, data entry, and compliance with established protocols for handling and preservation. Accurately enter and update records for all biological specimens received and distributed by the laboratory, including detailed tracking of specimen type, quantity, date of entry or removal, and precise storage location within the biorepository. Ensure data integrity by following standardized documentation procedures and verifying information for accuracy and completeness. Assemble, organize, and inspect laboratory and field supplies required for biological collection events. This includes preparing sample containers, labeling materials, preservatives, transport coolers, etc. Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and compliant with study protocols.
