This Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist position is with U.S. Marine Corps (Department of the Navy) in Yuma, AZ. Key duties: • You will serve as the Facilities Maintenance Branch Chief, providing leadership, direction, and oversight for the installation’s comprehensive facilities maintenance and repair program. • You will plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate facility maintenance and repair activities to ensure buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and supporting systems are maintained in a safe, reliable, and mission-ready condition. • You will manage preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, service calls, inspections, and repair programs, establishing priorities and allocating personnel, funding, equipment, and other resources to meet installation requirements. • You will supervise a multidisciplinary workforce responsible for facilities maintenance activities; establish performance expectations, assign work, evaluate performance, identify training needs, and promote workforce development and accountability. • You will develop short- and long-range maintenance plans and schedules, evaluate facility conditions and emerging requirements, and recommend priorities and courses of action to Public Works leadership. • You will manage facility maintenance resources and budgets, including development of funding requirements, monitoring execution, evaluating costs, and ensuring available resources are effectively applied to the highest-priority maintenance needs. Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing a comprehensive facilities maintenance program. This experience must include: Supervising a diverse workforce of trades personnel executing maintenance, repair, and construction activities across various crafts. Utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the planning, scheduling, and execution of work. Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and policies, preventative maintenance programs, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program. Overseeing customer service operations to resolve complaints and ensure responsive support for all stakeholders. Managing the fiscal aspects of a facilities program, including developing budget estimates and tracking expenses to ensure work stays within approved funding limits. Serving as a senior advisor or technical expert on facilities management. This experience must demonstrate the ability to direct complex work, manage competing priorities under pressure, and apply in-depth knowledge of facility management principles and practices to ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and preservation of infrastructure.
