This Supervisory Information Technology Specialist position is with Forest Service (Department of Agriculture) in Phoenix, AZ. This position is located with the Chief Information Office. Incumbent leads by example in defining a customer service culture to ensure that whenever possible the CIO staff cultivates partnerships with customers in developing solutions to meet their needs and serves as a Branch Chief over one of the Information System Security Teams. Key duties: • Overseeing, directing, and coordinating the efforts of team members. • Providing specific technical and implementation guidance, leadership, and technical expertise to Information Security Specialists. • Assures the successful accomplishment of assigned planning and implementation efforts which include negotiation of technical issues, resolution of schedule and programmatic issues, and coordination to include briefings at all agency echelons. • Performs the technical planning functions necessary for the execution and integration of efforts by analyzing assignments and tasks, recommending program objectives and alternatives, and developing plans, subprojects, and operating schedules. • Serves as the FS Alternate Information Systems Security Program Manager (ISSPM). Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-14 level: Applicants must have one-year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13. Qualifying specialized experience is defined as three or more of the following: Leading Enterprise Cybersecurity Projects and Implementations; and/or Developing and Interpreting Information Security Policy and Procedures; and/or Managing Security Risk Assessments and Certification & Accreditation Activities; and/or Supporting Cybersecurity Program Budgeting, Resource Planning, and Reporting; and/or Coordinating with Internal and External Stakeholders on IT Security Initiatives. AND Information Technology (IT) related experience and your resume must also demonstrate each of the nine competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
