This Supervisory Recreation Specialist (Outdoor Recreation) NF-04 position is with United States Army Installation Management Command (Department of the Army) in Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Key duties: • Plans, devises, and administers outdoor recreational activities at a U.S. Army Recreation Area. Responsible for the overall management for the 365-days-a-year facility that includes lodging units, RV camp sites, a marina, rental docks, and more. • Within established agency policies and objectives, administers the business, financial, and recreational operation of the park. Maintains an accurate account of daily sales revenue, operational funds, fixed assets, and property. • Plans and coordinates the details of recurring and nonrecurring activities, special events and joint community undertakings so as to make maximum use of resources, consistent with the military mission. • Schedules and publicizes recreation activities at the Army Reservation Area, insuring maximum effectiveness in attracting and motivating participants and in providing the widest possible range of activities in terms of community interest and needs. • Provides guidance and leadership to the various outdoor recreation activities and participants, modifying, adapting, amending, or otherwise changing plans and procedures for such activities as developments require. • Performs other duties as assigned. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Directly related work experience that included the goals, principles, method of techniques of outdoor recreation and understanding the interest of individuals and groups. Planning, organizing,coordinating, supervising or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs. Work experience supervising support staff in outdoor recreation programs. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
