We are seeking a UX Researcher Senior to support Enterprise initiatives within EdPlus on our Product and User Experience team. Every day you'll help improve the experience of millions of learners by driving user-centered research that informs product design and strategy. You will work with a cross-functional team (designers, engineers, UX writers, data analysts, and product managers) and lead both qualitative and quantitative research to identify pain points, uncover opportunities, and support the development of impactful digital experiences at ASU Online.
You will be primarily an individual contributor focused on leading high-impact UX research. At the same time, you will have opportunities to mentor student researchers, help coordinate research initiatives and systems, and contribute to the continued growth of the UX Research team. We're looking for someone who is equally energized by conducting exceptional research, collaborating across disciplines, and helping others succeed as our team continues to grow.
NOTE: This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, AZ.
Essential Duties:
• Serve as a strategic UX research partner to product, design, engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform product strategy and decision-making.
• Plan and conduct generative and evaluative research using appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiry, and analytics.
• Translate research goals into well-scoped research plans, selecting appropriate methods to answer key business and user questions.
• Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable insights, delivering compelling research artifacts, reports, presentations, and dashboards to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Facilitate in-person and remote research activities, including interviews, focus groups, participatory workshops, and co-design sessions.
• Manage multiple research initiatives in an agile environment with shifting priorities and timelines.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to UX research student employees.
• Partner with the UX Research Director to coordinate research initiatives, improve team processes, and help scale the UX Research practice.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of UX research methods, tools, and best practices.
• Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.

Desired Qualifications:
• Evidence of a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (Psychology, Social Sciences, User Experience, etc.).
• Experience leading end-to-end UX research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UX design principles and processes; hands-on UX design experience is a plus.
• Experience planning and leading complex research initiatives from discovery through synthesis and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and other cross-functional stakeholders in agile environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with UX research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, Google Analytics, or similar platforms.
• Experience mentoring or supervising researchers, interns, or student employees, with the ability to coach others and support their professional growth.
• Demonstrated Interest in contributing to the growth of a UX Research team through mentorship, project coordination, and continuous improvement of research practices.
• A strong portfolio or work samples that demonstrate how research influenced product, design, or business outcomes may be required.
