Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Day Shift) Department: Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Manager and Assistant Warehouse Manager Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse and Receiving Dock. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the Warehouse Technician and the Receiving Clerk in the Warehouse Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Other duties may be assigned. • Supervises and trains assigned warehouse personnel using positive role model skills, including attendance, department policies and procedures, motivation and team orientation. • Inspects incoming material against orders and specifications for correctness and defects; arranges for return of defective material. • Conducts periodic and special inventories. Reconciles book inventories with physical counts. • Maintains par levels and orders when necessary. • Creates weekly work schedules. • Plans and coordinates the issuance of materials from the warehouse, including schedules for loading and unloading deliveries. • Schedules loading, unloading and routing of assigned warehouse vehicles. • Drives vehicles to transport stored items from warehouse to casino properties or to pick up items from various locations. • Reviews computer reports for accuracy. • Prepares and maintains reports and records as required. • Manages maintenance programs and records for all casino vehicles. • Maintains the work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition. • Ensures adherence to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; some college preferred; two years warehouse work experience in an automated warehouse environment; supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Arizona Drivers License (commercial driver’s license preferred) and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle. Computer Skills Must have good PC skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Other Qualifications Must possess the ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, weight scale, pull carts and dollies filled with materials. Must have good mathematical and clerical aptitude. Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and be a team player. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
