General Maintenance Mechanic (Phoenix) (Multiple Positions)

This General Maintenance Mechanic (Phoenix) (Multiple Positions) position is with University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. Performs general maintenance and repair work on various building items and equipment under general supervision. Assists with duties, including patch and paint, heating/cooling. flooring, lighting, event activity set-up, delivery of materials, and the clean-up of shop and work areas. Assists skilled trades employees with daily activities on assigned jobs. Maintains facility grounds and environment in a clean, attractive, orderly, safe, and healthy condition. Maintains records of repairs and equipment requiring future service. Maintains all classroom and residential buildings, laboratories, libraries and all public spaces in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of carpentry, drywall repair, flooring, painting, concrete, basic plumbing, heating and air conditioning and landscape maintenance.
