This Major Gifts Manager III (Athletics) position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.
Identify, nurture, solicit and steward donors for the Athletic Department and provide high level concierge services to a Paciolan donor portfolio and a Raiser's Edge portfolio. Focusing on donor stewardship beyond the city and the state. Provide support in stewardship and recognition efforts for annual fund donors. Establish and manage relationships with high-profile clients, utilizing knowledge in field to increase fundraising revenue and adding new donors. Utilize communication and professional relationship building skills to identify new individual and corporate relationships, working with leadership to plan innovative approaches for promotion. Manage the planning, identification, and implementation of a coordinated program of fundraising activities using innovation and knowledge to create programs that will bring forward new donors and additional stewardship. Collaborates with leadership to align with university objectives while utilizing knowledge of concepts and theories to enhance promotion and donor engagement. Directs the goals established by leadership while developing and reviewing operational plans to enhance impact and objectives for the unit. Create policies and programs and utilize their own skills in negotiation to gain cooperation of senior leadership on campus and within the organization to meet strategic fundraising goals. Attends events to involve and develop prospects to maintain and grow support for Athletics. Oversee and manage gift proposals to support innovative donor stewardship initiatives utilizing knowledge of development. Provide donor stewardship and service in various markets and regions, relying on communication skills that influence leadership and work towards strategic goals for the department and institution. Work with other fund development and alumni relations staff both within the department and on campus. Manage car program for the department, oversight of staff and dealership relationships and partnerships. Manage premium seating program for donors, oversight of policies that promote and increase revenue generation. Oversight and management of program budget and policies. Oversight of expenditures and revenue, creates budget plans for current and future budget years. Supervisory duties include managing supervisors and/or managers, hiring, performance review, training, and development of staff. Coaches and develops staff to enhance leadership skills and expertise. Leads team, projects, and programs for the department and oversees the work of staff, managing goals and expectations for performance. Budget accountability. Additional duties as assigned.
