As an Operations Support Specialist, you will assist management in administering a variety of programs, policies and procedures and provide advice, guidance, and instruction concerning administrative programs..
Key duties:
• The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
• Provide technical assistance and support to management in a variety of matters relating to administrative and operational activities, and complex knowledge management issues.
• Utilize various software packages and automated systems (group mailboxes, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.) to monitor administrative activities, prepare reports, create, edit, print, and organize files.
• Develop and coordinate content and communications products, briefing presentations, special event material and other communications on a wide range of topics.
• Recommend and implement developments, modifications, and updates to knowledge management tools such as SharePoint lists, ECN sites, library applications and extensive tracking and management information systems.
• Ensure that the data and information being presented is accurate and concise. Review report elements to help prepare briefing papers and staff reports for leadership.
Qualifications:
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/19/2026. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10/19/2026. GS-11: You qualify at the GS-11 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the majority of the following duties: Coordinating and monitoring a variety of administrative projects (e.g., communications, logistics, records, scheduling, etc.) Identifying and recommending solutions to a wide range of administrative problems Analyzing administrative data from a variety of sources to develop trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, and studies Preparing preliminary and finished reports and documents and representing the office in dealings with vendors and personnel from administrative support organizations GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
