This Postdoctoral Research Associate, Department of Translational Neurosciences (Phoenix) position is with University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ.
Conduct advanced, multi-disciplinary research in neuroscience, biochemistry, and structural biology under the direction of the principal investigator. Develop, design, perform, and analyze experiments. Formulate research methods, develop research criteria. Perform scientific data collections, reductions, and analyses involving routine procedures characterized by use of independent judgment. Maintain and create various cell lines, cell-based functional assays in a high-throughput manner, mouse experiments and routine lab works including cloning, transfection, electrophoresis. Structure analysis for structural biology protein purification. Participate in data interpretation such as data quality control, variant interpretation and classification. Detailed documentation of data. Assist with funding applications by generating preliminary data. Derive, analyze, and format data for publications, presentations, and grant proposals. Present research findings to the lab at department meetings, and at national and international symposiums. Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Foster collaborations within the Department and with other units across the University applications, and preparing progress reports.
