This Research Technician I, Cellular and Molecular Medicine position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Perform routine cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques including but not limited to: DNA/RNA isolation, molecular cloning, western blotting, cell culture, cell biological assays, RT-qPCR, protein extraction, purification and quantification, and immunofluorescence microscopy. Maintain mouse colonies, which includes breeding, weaning, genotyping, harvesting tissues, and performing physiological assessments. Assist with laboratory management including ordering supplies, taking inventory of biological samples, maintaining instruments, preparing buffers, media, and reagents, Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Basic knowledge of cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry principles. Aptitude for quick learning and multi-tasking. Ability to learn and perform cell culture, qPCR, protein analysis, and related laboratory techniques. Skill in preparing reagents, buffers, and laboratory solutions. Ability to handle laboratory mice. Strong attention to detail with good communication and organizational skills.
