Research Technician III, Immunobiology

This Research Technician III, Immunobiology position is with University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Perform independent, moderately complex lab experiments with minimal supervision. Collect and analyze data, and document the results of experiments. Record information and maintain detailed records of experimental procedures. Assist with experiments of other research staff. Apply extensive knowledge of research operations to adapt established protocols, SOPs, and methodologies to fit specific research experiment requirements, and recommend modifications to existing procedures based on observed outcomes and operational needs. Use data to prepare reports in a clear and efficient manner for use in grant submissions and publications. Present results to PI weekly in one-on-one meetings and periodically in lab meeting. Ensure compliance with lab procedures, protocols, and quality control. Assist with and organize the set-up of the laboratory experiments and equipment and animal enrichment. Manage animal colony. Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and lab equipment. Order reagents, perform mouse husbandry, and perform lab chores/maintenance as needed.
