Perform scientific data collection, reduction, validation, and analysis using established laboratory and research methodologies. Independently evaluate experimental data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency; identify discrepancies or anomalies; apply appropriate statistical and analytical techniques; and interpret results to support ongoing research objectives. Exercise independent judgment in selecting appropriate methods, troubleshooting routine technical issues, ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage data entry, verification, processing, and retrieval using electronic databases and laboratory information systems, while monitoring computer-generated output for accuracy and resolving discrepancies as needed. Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of research studies, experimental procedures, protocols, datasets, and analytical results in accordance with institutional policies, funding agency requirements, and regulatory standards. Organize, validate, and prepare research data for computerized analysis, ensuring data quality, completeness, and consistency throughout the research life cycle. Provide guidance and oversight to Postdoctoral Associates, Graduate Assistants, and Designated Campus Colleagues. Prepare summaries, reports, tables, and graphical presentations of findings for review by principal investigators and research teams. Work closely and collaboratively with management to fully understand policies and procedures to provide guidance to the department on highly complex research initiatives, leading substantive aspects of the project. Oversee laboratory inventory by monitoring supply levels, forecasting needs, and coordinating the procurement of research materials, reagents, equipment, and consumables to support laboratory operations. Analysis of bio-specimens for viral transmissibility. High-resolution fluorescence microscopy, including confocal.
