SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

This SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position is with U.S. Marine Corps (Department of the Navy) in Yuma, AZ. You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA. Key duties: • You will advise executive leadership and department heads on all operational logistics matters, interpret higher directives, establish local supply operating procedures, and oversee installation property accountability programs. • You will manage garrison property lifecycle operations, approve purchase requisitions, monitor warehouse stock levels, supervise inventory control, and ensure compliant disposal of surplus materials and hazardous substances. • You will coordinate comprehensive transportation management services for government travel, direct freight and cargo receiving operations, and resolve shipping challenges associated with official military movements and household goods. • You will administer organizational budget requirements, prepare justifications for financial resources, validate outstanding account balances, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain comprehensive contractual audit trails. • You will supervise civilian and military personnel, establish performance standards, assign work schedules based on mission priorities, provide professional mentoring, and evaluate subordinate accomplishments to ensure high productivity. • You will serve as the primary manager for financial liability investigations of property loss, oversee custody and disposition of personal effects, and coordinate support agreements across partner agencies and tenant commands. Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising comprehensive supply and logistics programs (such as property administration, distribution, and material management); administering and executing budgets to ensure financial compliance; and interpreting regulatory directives to resolve complex logistical challenges and oversee integrated logistics operations.
